So Long 2022

Well gosh it’s hard to believe that this year is over already, it feels like 5 minutes since last Christmas. Probably like everyone else this year this is just because I’ve had so much going on all year, it’s been absolutely non-stop. From a personal, professional and general perspective it’s felt a bit like a fire fight since January!

I’ve been very lucky to be so busy with work since the end of the lockdown, I’ve enjoyed working with some wonderful clients this year, including DEFRA, Business Culture Awards and Lipman Properties to name but a few. It’s been so nice to start working with some events companies again after the lockdown, I really love to capture the buzz of an event and especially loved being part of the Wedding Industry Awards team again this year, photographing the fantastic regional awards with the national finals coming up in January.

Luckily during the lockdown I was able to continue photographing properties and some small products, it kept me going through some difficult times and I have really enjoyed being able to continue photographing some beautiful properties in London and the South East.

I’ve also continued to work with my long-term regular clients producing images for social media and marketing campaigns. I absolutely love to work with our favourite local Brewery, Double Barrelled - a wonderful team producing really delicious beers, and I love being able to get creative on our set ups, coming up with new ideas every week in a small space.

My personal highlights of the year include a fantastic trip to Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons, which has been on my bucket list for ever and took the edge off a scary big birthday! It exceeded my very high expectations and was an unforgettable experience. I also really enjoyed a wonderful road trip around Wales in the autumn - it’s much easier for us to travel with the dog these days so we’ve been enjoying some beautiful parts of the country.

I’m finishing the year with my first bout of Covid - I’ve been very lucky to avoid it for so long but it has kept me in bed for a while, so I am trying to catch up on my traditional end of year admin backlog!

Stay safe everyone and thank you to all my wonderful clients - I hope to work with you all again in 2023 and am looking forward to meeting some new clients as well :-)

Big hugs
