2015 - A year in pictures
highlights of the year for Creative Commercial Photography
Wow, it's hard to believe it's nearly the end of the year already, 2015 has flashed past so quickly. It has been a great year - I've enjoyed it so much, which is why it feels like it only lasted 5 minutes.
I love to travel so my personal highlights include spending a month in Hawaii, and a short break to Oslo. Hawaii of course was a trip of a lifetime - it's the most beautiful place I have ever been, with such a variety of landscapes, weather and wildlife.
Work has been frantic and fun this year, with a variety of exciting events, interesting commercial shoots and we have also branched out more into the world of weddings, and it has been a real privilege to be part of some really beautiful weddings over the year.
One of my earliest assignments was to photograph a team at their annual meeting in Munich - it was challenging to arrange hire of my studio equipment as my German is very poor, but we got there in the end and had a hard but fun day with the team at the conference centre at Munich airport. I've also really enjoyed working with local engineering businesses to create image libraries for their marketing and websites - it's great to get involved in these projects and create a selection of unique images to help show clients what businesses can do.
I was also really pleased to work with one of my favourite clients again - the National Trust. It was fascinating to photograph a collection of paintings on loan to Basildon Park, as well as their extraordinary Christmas decorations - if you're in the area I would really recommend a trip to the house to see them.
I have also enjoyed being part of a creative networking team in Reading - we meet every month to exchange ideas, learn from each other and generally keep each other motivated. We have also now set up a similar group for wedding and event professionals, and our little group feels like family! I love working together with other photographers, and have especially enjoyed collaborating with Adby Creative - they have incredible energy and creative vision and are great fun to work with.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy 2016 - thank you for visiting and for your support!
