2016, a year in pictures
a year of creative commercial photography
I can't believe it's nearly the end of another year, and what a year it's been - I'm sure we can all agree that the world has seen more than its fair share of traumas and upsets in 2016, and probably most of us will be glad when it's all over.
While at times it's felt as though the world has been turned upside down, here at CCP HQ, it's been an incredible year - starting with a lovely photoshoot in Venice in January, through to setting up a separate business for wedding photography, Something New, and working with some really fantastic clients throughout the year.
I've shot some really exciting events in the last few months, including the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, private parties, conferences, product launches and shop openings and of course lots of lovely weddings.Over the summer, I worked with a new client, Vauxhall Eden, to photograph several of their dealerships in the south, as well as portraits of their staff. I've also very much enjoyed the opportunity to work with some fabulous chefs to shoot their delicious food, and can't wait to see how their new businesses evolve.
I haven't had a lot of spare time to enjoy myself (or write blogs!), but some personal highlights in 2016 include trips to Rome and Austria, having tonnes of fun at the first Blue Dot festival at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, the annual chow chow tea party (yes I'm a saddo) and selling some of my paintings at the Henley and Wokingham art trails.
I'm excited to see what 2017 will bring, and I wish you all a very happy Christmas and peaceful new year.
